RE: 200,000 vehicles a year capacityI agree that it will be several years before the EV takes off, if it ever does. But I do think there is already a huge latent demand and whether the car's range is 300 km or 500 km is really irrelevant, given that the EV will not replace gas anyway, but 300km will allow most in-City commuters to drive for a week before re-charging. Also, the tree huggers don't support EV entirely since the generation of electricity in and of itself is not (in thier view) environmentally friendly. The reality is though that it takes a long time for people to adopt a new technology, although I must admit people sure seem to be adopting change more readily these days (dvds, digital cameras). If the vehicle is marketed well and people realize it's cheaper to operate, more reliable and much less maintenance, it could catch on in a few years. If EFL becomes a market leader in EVs then it really game on.
