RE: tickle ...can you figure out GEM???
RE: tickle ...can you figure out GEM???tickle
there was no sample from Cristal recently processed.
when reading the NR please note that they say the rock that coughed up the 0.9 ct stone is the same type of rock that coughed up the 0.72 stone. Now check out the map at Pele and see how far apart that these two areas are.
Also I don't recall reading anywhere that the Cristal and GQ are the same. THey are on the same trend line, but I don't think that anyone with a degree has come out yet and said that they are the same rock.
GQ has had big diamond counts and it will be nice to see those bulks finally processed. But that is not to say that the 2 rock types are the same.
"CF of the 13 tonnes which hatched the .72 crt from Cristal ( and there is some debate on the 13 tonnes producing the 3/4 crt because Gem was processing rock from the same area) produced these numbers"
I've never heard of a debate on the fact that DB processed initally 100 t's from Cristal and GEM later processed 13 tonnes and found a goose. DB processed quite some time ( 1 yr +) before this stone was found and effeciencies in crushing, recovery and luck were all likely a factor.
Also past releases I think that GEM has suggested that Cristal goes for some distance to the NE. Check out thier map again and you'll see that it appears to trend all the way to Salon which is measured in kilometers.
Agreed - the stats in the NR were difficult to decipher. But then GEM doesn't issue these releases on thier own. Where there is De Beers data involved I suspect that they vet the NR to thier satisfaction.
Pele has never been one to write releases for the common man unfortunatley, maybe one day they will get it.
