RE: Help - Rivah
RE: Help - Rivah The stock boards are good for getting an "exchange of ideas", but the information should never be accepted at face value, as there are a lot of games that get played. You'll gradually recognize the posters who continuously provide helpful information, versus those who like to play the pump & dump to line their own pockets.
Company websites are also good, but often are not kept up to date.
SEDAR is good for amassing information on company news releases, fundamentals and finances. Takes a lot of work, because the SEDAR documents aren't titled very well, but you can set yourself up a database for the particular companies based on the documents.
SEDI is good for finding insider information, including trading. You'll also be able to begin to recognize the "movers" and power groups through their holdings and interactions with multiple companies. Again, lots of work involved, but again you can begin to set up a database.
