RE: Rob is the name.. rob is the game

RE: Rob is the name.. rob is the gameFurther to Stalkdog's comments, ROB-TV is entertainment with some tidbits of useful investor information thrown in. MarketCall specifically, jmo, is a forum for a fund company manager to flog some of his stocks, either newly acquired in their fund, or some dogs than need a boost, that is the purpose of the 'recommendations' portion of the show, nothing more, nothing less. With regard to the call-in portions of MarketCall, it only makes sense that the 'guest' fund manager, can choose which stocks to speak about in advance. Just think how stupid he/she would look if he/she was continually asked about stocks he has no knowledge, he'd only be saying time and again: "I know nothing". I am reminded of Ross Healy, taking a call about Dumont Nickel, going on and on about nickel companies and how well they should do in this environment, instead of admitting he knew nothing about this company, as it is in fact a 'gold' exploration play. Not good for one's reputation -lol!!! I've seen many managers, dis lots of stocks in the call in portion of MarketCall, so it is not always about pumping their own holdings, there can be some frank commentary made from time to time. JMHO. The best way to learn from a show like MarketCall is to put it all in perspective, and view many different guest's views on any given stock or sector, and then do your own DD before investing or divesting.
