RE: Idle, that was a great post last night

RE: Idle, that was a great post last nightI remember everything you mention Jet. Point is a simple one, We have had resellers in place for a while, but they can't resell becuase the product is still being worked on. We are looking forward to breakeven and profitability, but we can't get there yet because the product is still being worked on for 1st 6 customers and we are not ready to roll it out to anyone else it appears. August last year, we had only 2 coders, we had let most of a significant programming team go, presumably to reduce costs, a huge false economy IMO, resulting in the delays that are resulting in less negative cashflow but over a longer period of time. IMO, i think the cost cutting went too far, what was done in Vancouver was excellent, what was done to Toronto / Markham has shot us in the foot imo. The delays we are seeing now are the result of not raising more money and having more dilution back then to fund the one thing this compnay was ultimately make money and become successful on when finished. I wasn't party to the board meetings that decided this or the info they had at hand, but that is very much my opinion. I almost fell off my chair when I heard what staffing levels were down to last August. They have done a valient job, they wisely farmed out the relatime booking engine to openfares (simply write an API to theirs) and write an API so others can develop their own front ends, both very smart moves in a cash strapped situation. So I am not wholesal criticising everything that was done back then, much is to be applauded. I am simply having a rant to help focus everyones attention on what (given what I know of the situation) I believe to be the key issue right now. I don't agree with 'lets wait until it's finished then hire philosophy. Because the attentdant delays cost us significant money anyway. jmo jet idle Idle
