RE: Looks like gap will fill ... oh sighStockta y Intrepidistas:
I am not in disagreement with your HUI observation whatsoever. But I would contend that a rebound in the PoG you envisage would be short-term startling ............ I'd love it BUT it's not likely to happen IMHO.
In March / April of last year HUI did penetrate it's 200 DMA by approx. 10% .......... an incredible buying opp if their ever was one, si? HUI is already below its 200 DMA and I sense ... just sense mind you ... that there is more decline in the works.
Much will depend on whether the PoG holds it's 390ish 200-DMA.
Two final items:
1. USD index did poke it's 'ugly' head over 92 earlier today ... yes, it sunk back but is that a portent of the near-term? Could well be.
2. If so, then I think the 390 PoG 200-DMA will be penetrated and the next sizeable support is 375ish. The effect of that on HUI would not be pleasant, near-term. IMHO that would set up another tremendous buying opp ... even better than this time last year!
Caballeros .. I love IAU as a leader in the next year, AFTER this mess is cleared up.
Great appreciate the discussion .. all the best!
Un abrazo!

PS: Head's up moment ........ two of Jim Steel's favourites, BDR.V and FRG.TO, are holding up remarkably well in this "froth" ... BTW: IAU is a BIG fav of his.
