RE: Some Earnings and p/e of oil Co.I don't mean to be rude but P/E is no longer a very accurate picture of how a company is doing. There are so many different ways to cook the books these days that P/E ratio means nothing unless you compare all aspects of the books.
Of the companies you mentioned what is the ratio of debt to earnings? or cashflow to earnings?
They all have to be looked at in order to get an accurate finacial picture of the company. From what is happening to the price of CLL I would think people are getting a little scared because of the large amount of debt and with less production cash flow will be down. So, the only option left is to float more shares and dilute the stock. And of course the stock price then drops.
