RE: Here's the article I promised on CLL

RE: Here's the article I promised on CLL Stockchick, The point that the broker made was that Dick was at the helm of bankrupting a company, plain and simple. I don't care what line of business your in you don't cut off your nose to spite your face. You seem to be saying it is OK to bankrupt a company and loose thousands of people's money just because it was a risky venture? Do you think the Blackberry was a risky venture? I do, and guess what the management team MANAGED the risk and came out on top. Many many companies are in much riskier business's and don't bankrupt the company. That is the job of mangement, to manage. And when you are not good at managing undesirable results follow and that responsibility falls squarely on the shoulders of the mangement team!! You can punch a hole in SW Saskatchewan/Alberta and find gas just about anywhere. It is not difficult. Oh and many of the companies in that area post great drill results and yes 100%. The shallow gas plays are easy these days. And drilling results are only a small part of realizing a good return on capital. The management team will be the ones that determine the actual % ROCI. I agree it's highly unlikely a "above board" company would intentionally want their wells to under produce. However what is the REAL problem at "Cabri" none of the news release's tells us. All that has been released are vague statements about problems due to cold weather. That could mean a whole lot of things. What if it meant that management told the crews to do something with the wells that just should not have been tried in cold weather ? Would that still indicate sound management? What if it meant management did not prepare for the cold weather? Who's fault is that? The analysts or share holders ? Nope, management. So far I don't see any reason to believe that mangement are crooks. There is a lack of clear information regarding what is going on and that combined with Dicks history may be enough to scare off people. The best thing that could happen for us investors is for Dick to sell the assets of this company to someone who can realize the potential of the assets. CLL's asset base has potential, we just need someone to milk that potential.
