RE: May 6th Media Event.......Relax folks no results for awhile yet. This is what the the Nipawin Journal said about Shore:
"As for Shore Gold, which is taking a 25,000 tonne bulk sample about five kilometres south of the Forest Gate claim, is moving quickly with its drilling and kimberlite processing.
The main shaft has hit 237 metres with the shaft to end at 250 metres to accommodate the Galloway stage and facilitate mucking of a second lateral drift being drilled at the 235 metre level.
So far about 2,300 tonnes of kimberlite have been processed on-site with additional diamond recovery being done off-site while another 4,600 tonnes is sitting at the surface awaiting processing.
Shore Gold has stated no results from the bulk sample will be released until all 25,000 tonnes has been through processing and final diamond recovery as well as the results rechecked to ensure they are accurate. It is anticipated that could take until the end of this year."
And that is what Shore has said all along.
This media event is to smoothe the way for a possible mine, by showing the locals how many jobs would be available if it were to go ahead. It has more to do with the Nipawin chamber of Commerce than it does with big time diamond mining announcements.
Nipawin has 5230 people living there. It is not the place to make a big announcement that will rock the diamond mining industry.
But wouldn't a few big stones be nice?
