NEWS.......... CDO discovers break at Aurora

NEWS.......... CDO discovers break at AuroraCandorado discovers Candorado break at Aurora 2004-05-21 05:05 ET - News Release Mr. Rene Bernard reports NEW GOLD TARGET DISCOVERED ON THE AURORA EXTENSION AT DETOUR LAKE, ONTARIO Candorado Operating Company was searching for an extension of the Southern break. The company found it and more -- it discovered the Candorado break. Candorado's Aurora extension property is adjacent to the southern boundary of the Aurora property in the Detour Lake greenstone belt of Northeastern Ontario. Presently, the Aurora property is being explored by Conquest Resources Ltd. and Trade Winds Ventures Inc. There, drilling in the GB zone located on the Southern break, only 300 metres (984 feet) from boundary of the Aurora extension, returned intersections including 2.6 metres (8.5 feet) of 21.6 grams per tonne (0.630 ounce per ton) gold. Ground magnetic and induced polarization surveys indicated that the Southern break extended across the claim boundary onto Candorado's Aurora extension property. The 2004 induced polarization and ground magnetic surveys were the first that have been conducted on ground covered by the Aurora extension property. The results were very positive. A chargeability and co-incident magnetic anomaly was identified along a 950-metre (3,116-foot) trend in the northeastern part of the property. This east-southeasterly trending anomaly has the signature of a steeply southwardly dipping mineralized shear. The company interprets it to be the easterly extension of the Southern break. The greatest revelation was a previously unknown structure located in the central part of the Aurora extension property. The new gold target trends parallel with the Southern break anomalies and is located about 500 metres (1,640 feet) south-southwest of them. Induced polarization and magnetic data indicate that the new structure is another steep, southwesterly dipping mineralized fault. The company has named it the Candorado break. The geophysical signature of the Candorado break is both more intense and more extensive than that associated without Southern break anomalies. The Candorado break structure persists over a strike length of about 2.5 kilometres (1.52 miles), confirming it to be a major structural element in this area. Focus during the next exploration program will be on both the extension of the Southern break and on the newly discovered Candorado break.
