RE: RE OILANDGAS

RE: RE OILANDGASThe oil/water contact is probably not in the b6, b8 or b9y based on net pays and perforation intervals. The oil/water contact is probably present in the 16/21a-18 well. Oil column is measured from oil/water contact to gas/oil contact which occurs in most oil pools but not all. Therefore if the O/W contact is at -1000m. subsea and the G/W contact was at -800m. subsea then you have a 200 meter oil column. The thicknesses reported in the b6 and b8 wells are pay thicknesses not the oil column for the oil pool. If the oil column at Brenda was 200 feet then you would need a 200 foot sand in the well bore which intersected the gas/oil contact at the top of the sand and intersected the oil/water contact at the base of the sand. This well would have 200' feet of pay and would be the same thickness as the pool's oil column.
