RE: Huge News!G an H are considered near colorless. ( GIA terms it near colorless as oppose to D E and F being colorless)
The majority of diamonds sold in North America are I,J and K color. Of the 10 largest retailers of jewellery in the US 8 use J - K as their buying standard.
Especially in stones this large that is considered very good color. Also what in the world do you mean by investment grade??? Two points I would like to make on that statement:
1) The value of a diamond is a function of its characteristics. If you look at market prices over the last 20 years there has not been a greater percentage increase in prices of diamonds of D or E color over diamonds of G or H color. Of course higher color diamonds are more expensive but that certainly doesn’t necessarily make them a better investment.
2) Diamonds are first and foremost a consumer product. The portion of diamonds bought for investment purposes is miniscule. These stones will be a piece of cake to sell and at good values.
By all means wait for better results. But let's keep the facts straight. These are by no means "poor" color.
