Xplore Technologies Corp. narrowed its losses sharply in the fourth quarter on a big jump in revenues.
The Toronto-area company reported Thursday it lost $3.2 million US or nine cents a share for the three months ended March 31, compared with
a loss of $5 million or 22 cents a share for the same period the previous fiscal year.
Revenue in the quarter rose to $5.1 million US from $1.4 million.
Xplore reports its results in U.S. dollars.
For the full year, the company narrowed its losses to $10.9 million from $14 million, while revenues rose to $23.4 million from $7.3 million.
Xplore (TSX:XPL) makes rugged pen-based mobile wireless computers. The company is based in Mississauga, Ont. but also has offices in Austin Tex., and Helsinki, Finland. Its customers include the public safety, retail, warehousing, utility, military, field service, marine and transportation industries.
