USA: Avery Dennison Unveils 'Fastest' RFID Printer 18 Jun 2004 Source: just-style.com Apparel industry supplier Avery Dennison Printer Systems has introduced what it claims to be the fastest radio frequency identification (RFID) label printer on the market. According to the company, the new 64-05 RFID Printer is capable of speeds of up to 16 inches per second. “Avery Dennison engineers designed the 64-05 RFID as a solution for organisations in immediate need of highly reliable, cost-efficient RFID label production,” marketing director Mark Hansinger said of the printer. “(However,) the system was also built in anticipation of challenges manufacturers and retailers will face as new RFID labelling needs develop.” The 64-05 RFID is UHF/EPC-compliant, meaning that as industry-wide RFID requirements evolve, the system’s labelling capabilities can be updated to keep pace.
