Mr. Ken Shortt reports
TRUE NORTH GEMS COMPLETES MINI-BULK SAMPLE AT ONTARIO''S GHOST LAKE EMERALD PROJECT
True North Gems has extracted a mini-bulk sample of emerald-bearing material from the company's Ghost Lake project near Dryden, Ont.
A two-tonne sample was extracted from emerald-mineralized material initially identified at Ghost Lake in May, 2003. The sample was recovered through blasting and the use of a diamond chain saw to extract precision samples. The mini-bulk sample will provide representative material for evaluation and will be shipped to Vancouver for assessment of total beryl- and emerald-grade concentrations, and to Canadian mineral processing laboratories for extractive technology testwork.
The results of this work will provide True North with an initial assessment of the potential for a commercial emerald operation in Ontario.
William Rohtert is an economic geologist and graduate gemmologist and is the qualified person responsible for development and implementation of the exploration program at Ghost Lake.
