RE: One more AGM reportCrocky,
Yes, it was Koffifontein I was thinking of. Plus, one other factor we haven't mentioned - they put up a slide comparing size of ore bodies (in hectares) around the world, and what stood out for me was that the largest one on the screen was Orapa, at 111 million hectares (I can't remember what Koffifontein was, but it was a far smaller one)
and there was Star next to it, at 200 million hectares! Twice the size of Orapa! They also indicated that recent geophysics indicates Star could be larger, closer to 250 million hectares. Then, of course, they added that little tidbit about there being a geophysical anomaly indicating another possible pipe that looks to be about the same size as the Star, elsewhere on their claim block. Can you imagine having two of these things?
All this data: size, value, grade, comparing to others around the world...we have been over this adnosium on this bullboard. The thing that made it all very very real for me was seeing those crystal clear diamonds on that pillow. That made me take one more look at all the data and...it all sunk in. We've got a comet by the tail. They also mentioned that this has happened to all the diamond mines in the NWT - the flailing stock prices, the uncertainty...it's all in their history too, and Shore is no exception to this kind of market response at this stage of the game. Ken's last words - he looked at the audience and very emphatically stated: the batches coming up will be far better grades than this first round.
