KARRAS rumorTo all concerned about Karras post regarding Barricks decision. I have permission to use Steve Brennelle’s name so here goes the important part of our conversation.
JEFF)-Steve I know we talked for quite some time last week regarding a poster saying that Barrick told him of a deadline of Oct 16 98 and you informed me there is no deadline legally between the two companies. Well last night a person going by the name of karras said the deal is off between CBI and Barrick and that CBI has been informed.
STEVE)-that is pure crap who is this guy karras. If we were sitting on a material change in the companies affairs we would be open to mega lawsuits. We are sitting on the same info from Barrick as most investors are. We categorically deny that we have any knowledge of Barrick not continuing on with our project. We are still in the position and believe Barrick will come to the plate but this is just our personal opinion and we will have to wait as the rest of the shareholders to receive the word from Barrick.
So Karras I hope you read this as statements such as yours again are completely unacceptable and very irresponsible. Now the warning I promised you. We have already taken steps (Montreal securities) in tracking you down. So be prepared if/when they find you (which should not be hard)be ready for the fifth degree. And if your so called sources are real you best warn them as well as this is the Internet game they are cracking down on. Good luck to you and remember you publicly charged Chesbar with withholding info on company affairs.
