FALCON(TM) AIRBORNE GRAVITY GRADIOMETER SURVEY INITIATED AT NANUQ; 500 ADDITIONAL TILL SAMPLES COLLECTED
A Falcon airborne gravity gradiometer survey has begun on Dunsmuir Ventures Ltd.'s Nanuq project in Nunavut. This 7,400-line-kilometre survey is designed to identify kimberlite targets for drilling at the head of the Nanuq and Southwestern kimberlite indicator mineral trains. The Falcon system is the world's first high-resolution airborne gravity gradiometer system capable of direct mineral occurrence detection. The survey is being conducted as part of the earn-in requirements for Peregrine Diamonds Ltd. as announced in Stockwatch on July 19, 2004.
An additional 500 till samples have now been collected at Nanuq during the past month, increasing the total number of till samples collected on the property to more than 1,200. This work was designed to infill the source areas of the main Nanuq and Southwestern kimberlite indicator mineral trains and when combined with previous till sampling, geologic mapping, prospecting, glacial studies, and airborne magnetic surveys, it forms a significant foundation for the use of the revolutionary Falcon system. With the Falcon system data, the company now believes that it will be in an excellent position to identify the kimberlite sources for the two well-defined indicator mineral trains identified on the property.
The Nanuq property falls under the strategic diamond partnership with BHP Billiton Diamonds Inc. Dr. Jennifer Pell, PGeo, vice-president of exploration for the company, is the acting qualified person under NI-43-101 for this project.
