RE: Recent company news...looks like a rehash of a discovery which was made by the Altar Resource people (the underlying owners of the prospect) on the southwest slope of Mildred Peak in or around the year 2000 or 2001.
What is interesting is, the fact the recent results confirm the earlier Altar results. Thus the so called "discovery" has more to do with the fact the drilling on the much ballyhooed Placeritas zone was a bust, and management needs something new to talk about.
The Altar resource people theorized that underlying the property is a copper porphory. The addition of good gold and silver values to the copper values found so far, could make the required difference.
As for potential, one only has to look 20- or 30 odd miles away to the east to the Mission Pima complex to find a mine which has produced a billion tons of copper ore over the last 40 years.
