Buy or Hold and Forget itI have held Calian since Dec 12, 2000. Bought at $3.50. Since then I have read numerous accounts of how bad it is doing....its going no where etc. This is the kind of stock ( and I hold numerous stocks that have 3 - 5 year slowly increasing valuations) that you buy and forget about unless something significant happens (ie) accounting problems, fundamental shift in the business etc. Yes it has contracts ending (so do all companies) but it has new ones it will acquire. Like all stocks it will move up and down so you can ignore them, add or sell. While the dips and peaks are opportunities, I would see it best to ride them out unless your trading the stock or as I said something fundamental is changing. And the other good news re: Callian - you get roughly T-Bill yields from the dividend while you sit and wait. Incidently Calian is the only tech related stock I own and I bought with the expectation that it would slowly increase in value - just as it has done to date and I suspect it will continue to do. Don't be impatient with any stock - it will lead you to make mistakes in your buy and sell decisions - it always will.
