RE: China Watch Essay Special- Petrov Speakshttps://www.economist.com/finance/displayStory.cfm?story_id=3172404 This article addresses similar concerns indicated in the Faber link. BTW: a very good read in Faber's book "Tomorrow's Gold". I have been a fan of his for a few years since being introduced to his thinking through conversations with Jimmy Rogers. Faber feels the China boom will bust sooner than the 2008 Olympics, but that would require both the Fed Reserve and the Chinese to stop the game. The argument that external influences, e.g. Oil spike,derivatives/banking crisis, would initiate the end game is more likely than the powers that be rolling over on the current balance of China foreign exports/US sales of treasuries. Best thing for investors is to be placed in commodities and out of US Currency based investments for the next few years, IMHO. vocex1
