Can someone please explain....

Can someone please explain....Electorvaya'a thinking re the new laptop? I just don't get it. For about $1400 Canadian I can buy a similar HP or Compaq, both known and trusted entities. If EFL's is $1700 US this means the premium for the battery is about $500-600 Canadian. Plus, Electrovaya is an unknown with poor sales support. Does EFL have a target revenue in mind? Why aren't they in stores now? (I can understand that tablets are geared to vertical rather than retail for now, but laptops are all over the place). How do they expect to sell these - they probably will claim that they have retailers are beating down their doors but they have turned them away. Plus, if tablets are ultimately supposed to replace a large percentage of laptops they are really competing against themselves. Why did they not start out with laptops rather than tablets, since laptops are here today? Where was the planning? This is the most bizarre thing .... someone please try to explain because I am completely shocked at this approach.
