RE: If the 19 ct is worth $20,000 - donnymac

RE: If the 19 ct is worth $20,000 - donnymacI havent' heard anyone refer to the 19 carat as brown, just my own observation. The one that really caught my attention, however, which has never had any press, is the diamond that was a deep orange-red colour that Kirsten said was 'amber'. It was very impressive for the richness of colour. Don't know how good it was as far as inclusions went, but it did have an octahedral shape and appeared to be transparent. Kirsten did mention that all the diamonds we saw in the display case are exactly how they get them from the lab. In other words, they didn't selectively pick and choose which diamonds they would show the public (ie, pick out the borts ahead of time). What we saw is what Star is delivering, and that is what was so impressive. Ken is reported as having said that the first valuations on the 2025 carat parcel could be in 2 weeks. It seems to me that Shore personnel are really tapped in to what it means to be an investor. For instance, they have consistently delivered 'the goods' by showing diamonds at the AGM and again at this show, they put pictures on their website, and have had a steady flow of news releases. It wouldn't be a surprise, then, if they are pushing to give the investors a GREAT Xmas present, by releasing the first set of valuations on the last business day before Xmas. We'll see.
