Oncolytics Biotech Inc T.ONC

Alternate Symbol(s):  ONCY

Oncolytics Biotech Inc. is a clinical-stage biotechnology company. The Company is focused on developing pelareorep, an intravenously delivered immunotherapeutic agent that activates the innate and adaptive immune systems and weakens tumor defense mechanisms. This compound induces anti-cancer immune responses and promotes an inflamed tumor phenotype turning cold tumors hot through innate and adaptive immune responses to treat a variety of cancers. This improves the ability of the immune system to fight cancer, making tumors more susceptible to a broad range of oncology treatments. The Company’s primary focus is to advance its programs in hormone receptor-positive / human epidermal growth factor 2- negative (HR+/HER2-) metastatic breast cancer and advanced/metastatic pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma to registration-enabling clinical studies. In addition, it is exploring opportunities for registrational programs in other gastrointestinal cancers through its GOBLET platform study.

RE: Corporate Governance

RE: Corporate Governance"OK, so ONC governance meets standards but it doesn't even come close to the minimum standards set out by CCGG. Nothing made up, I'm not proposing tearing down the company, but why should shareholders put up with a situation where a board whose chairman is also CEO (and neither board or CEO have any investment in the company) grants him such a huge (> double last years) option package in a year where there has been no visible progress. It shouldn't have happened!" I agree! It is not acceptable that rewards be handed out in a vacuum. This is not DISNEY where Eisner raided the company vaults for years with impunity. The only option open to the shareholders is to use your proxy vote to vote down any further option goodies to management.I certainly will. You might also want to consider showering Cathy Ward with e-mails to get the point across. These people are like politicians,if no one takes the trouble to complain they figure everything is normal.
