Restructuring
RestructuringThese seem to me to be more strategic moves by Carlson that have been contemplated for
a long time but never acted upon. The enterprises they are moving away from have not
been growing or beneficial to WRX for some time now and the move out of Calgary was a
forgone conclusion since the management is all in the U.S. The "Calgary Head Office" has
been a branch operation since the WRX/Norcom merger/takeover. So I view this as
another step in Carlson's long range plan and a good one. His new sales team can focus
on the mobile business where all of the potential lies. The main question still remains -
can WRX book more big orders like Sears in new verticals. The company's total attention is
now aimed at answering that one.
