RE: The EAA will eventually ............Almost all studies are funded by companies who stand to make money from positive results of studies. Who else will fund the myriad of studies going on. The question is which journal published the study; how reputable is it? Most reputable journals have rigorous peer review requirements. These journals require peer reviewers to disclose any interest, direct or indirect in the study. I can't get through on the link you provided but I do get as far as the Journal of Infectious Diseases being identified as the journal that published the study. While not in the medical field, if that is the Journal, I think it is highly reputable. Of course, I haven't read the article and therefore can't comment on how positive it is. Even if I had read it, I might be in the same position I am now.
