RE: Making Sense from Level III use BMO Nesbitt. Reading a tape can be exciting, yet there are many games played that in longer run -and by longer I mean as short as a week - they don't have any bearing on the general trend.
Sometimes houses put large blocks to stop, slow down or scare the other side (would that be a bid or ask). The 90K at 2.40 can be removed as soon as the ask will be near. It means nothing at the moment.
Yestarday TD played games with large blocks on both sides. I don't if they were doing internal swapping or were not very successful in influencing the price. Today, I noticed Cannaccord make subtle touches at the ask at the right moment.
