RE: A real perspective on WND and wind power

RE: A real perspective on WND and wind powerMouser...you're wrong about wind companies getting power purchase agreements or ppa's (not epa's)...and then not getting them built. PPA's mean at least two years of utility scale wind speeds, that banks and investment houses use to finance projects. Very FEW ppa's go unbuilt. Most of the dirty, speculative, gritty, scut work is done before a PPA is awarded. The company has to show some sort of viability. The management team of WND, for example has been running wind parks for 24 years...longer than any wind developer in North America. These guys are not novice speculators...they are the real deal. Your most accurate assessment was that most folks do not understand wind. If they did, WND would be at $5. I can't comment on the others (VWE, SBX). They don't have ppa's so they may fit into your world view. But WND...they are in it for the long haul.
