Spot price...Spot price of uranium concentrates to $21.25 a pound from $10 a pound over the past year, with the projected long-term price pushing $27 a pound.
Increasing world demand for energy and depleted uranium stockpiles have sent prices rocketing.
"Analysts are forecasting even higher prices because of projected uranium shortages," U.S. Energy said in a statement.
