RE: Japan and Brazil cos. join Mongolian fray

RE: Japan and Brazil cos. join Mongolian frayAt the risk of answering myself, I just found a more recent clip involving the Brazilian outfit. This bit of news on the South Gobi comes from The Mining Journal on July 15, in the form of a brief. "Mitsubishi Development Pty's vice president -- business development, Greg Cochran, says the company has been talking to Energy Resources Co about the latter's Tavan Tolgoi coal deposit in Mongolia's South Gobi region. Energy Resources has also spoken to the BHP Billiton group and Cia Vale do Rio Doce (CVRD) about the project. Mr Cochran notes that Mitsubishi is interested in other opportunities in Mongolia, including those in base metals. CVRD is investigating Tavan Tolgoi in partnership with Itochu Corp.
