SUMMARY ABOUT THE PRODUCTIVE BLOCKS
MALIK BLOCK (9)
Located in Masila- Say'un basin, with area of 3530 Km2.
Block(9) is operated by Calvalley Petroleum (Cyprus) Ltd.- Canadian Company. The main reservoirs in the block are (Qishn Clastic), ((Saar Sand),.
The partners in the Production Sharing Agreement with the Yemeni government are CALVALLEY (46.75%), REILIANCE (17%), HOOD OIL (21.25%) and YCO (15%).
In General it contains (4) fields, and will be start the production from one field on December 2005 with an average of (8,000) BOPD, and The total number of wells ware 16 until June 2005.
The Block Oil is light oil with a density (40 API), and Heavy oil with a density (16 API), in addition to a big gas reserve, which is not invested nor exploited so far.
