Trading Symbol Is Now CNA.H. Centram Exploration Ltd. to be Transferred to the TSX NEX Board Friday, August 12, 2005
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, Aug 11, 2005 (CCNMatthews via COMTEX) --
Centram Exploration Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:CNA.V) -
The company reports that as of the opening of trading on Friday, August, 12, 2005, its shares will be transferred to the TSX NEX board. The shares will continue to trade, but the trading symbol will be CNA.H.
In a letter to the company dated August 10, 2005, the TSX Venture Exchange's representative stated the following:
"...we advise that the shares of the company will be transferred to NEX effective the opening August 12, 2005.
We advise that NEX is a separate board of the TSX Venture Exchange for Companies previously listed on TSX Venture Exchange which have failed to maintain compliance with the ongoing financial listing standards of those markets. NEX has been designed to provide a forum for the trading of publicly listed shell companies while they seek and undertake transactions in furtherance of their reactivation as companies which will carry on an active business."
The NEX website address is: www.tsx.com/en/nex/index.html or search the web for TSX NEX to get further information on the NEX Board.
The company has reviewed numerous opportunities since its Honduran properties' activities were suspended, in large part, due to the Honduran government's publicly stated mining policies. In 2005, two of these potential opportunities reached negotiations stage, but a satisfactory business arrangement could not be completed in either case.
The company will continue its search for the right business opportunity and plans to complete a major transaction such that it meets tier 2 requirements and return to trading on the TSX.V board.
