Hybrid techIf I may just steal a second of attention for you good people of this board to spread MY message.
With the price of fuel rising, companies should not opt for hybrid solutions to save money, but soon they will have too just to stay in business.
The government of Canada and the USA are looking at ways to lower the price of oil for the time being (lowering taxes temporarily, opening the reserves, all of which are artificial and won't last). I hope companies relying heavily of fossil fuel transportation for marketing their products will realise the relief is only be temporary and finally make the jump into hybrid technology.
Hybrid is the technology that will bridge non-renewable fossil fuel transportation and Renewable, clean technologies of the future. Companies simply wonft be able to bear the rising cost of oil while waiting for the perfect, cheap, clean fuel. Everyone will have to go thru hybrid technology at some point in the near future
Although it will only temporary, hybrid will be a force in the market for at least a few years; and we are right at the beginning of the journey.
What it means for investors? It mean now is the right time to take a look at some leaders of the hybrid market and diversify your investments.
There are the obvious, Toyota on Honda who already offer hybrid options, but there are also lesser known companies that maybe about to put their names on the map. One of which is Azure Dynamic:
Company: Azure Dynamics Corp.
Symbol: TSX: AZD
Azure Dynamics is engaged in developing its proprietary intelligent control systems technology for hybrid electric vehicles (HEV). The system increases the range of the vehicle compared to fully electric vehicles and also serves to recharge the vehicles' batteries. Azure's proprietary adaptive control systems technology includes software and hardware which integrates the operations of the HEV with each individual's driving patterns and other driving conditions.
I know there are many other companies out there waiting to grab a share of the market, however, azure aseems to be pretty much the only conmpany specializing in hybrid technology for mid-size trucks.
Thank you for your time.
