The Baker vein has an exposed surface strike length of 45 metres and is up to one-metre thick in places. The vein is composed of quartz, arsenopyrite, galena, sphalerite and chalcopyrite.
Following receipt of these positive results, Ressource Appalaches commenced a second drill program of six additional holes, for a planned total of 420 metres. These holes are designed to determine the lateral extensions of the vein to a depth of 50 metres.
A second mineralized vein, the Mersereau vein, located 60 metres southwest of the Baker vein, was identified as a result of recent stripping. This vein was observed over a strike length of 130 metres and is open at both ends and at depth, as is the Baker vein. A detailed evaluation program will be conducted in order to determine the economic value of this second quartz vein.
Assays were performed by ALS Chemex, in Val d'Or, using atomic absorption and ICP.
