Your observations are right on the money! The LSG orebody strikes N.E/S.W. and exploration to date indicates the primary orebody currently is located south of Hwy. 101. This is not to suggest that Sydney or others may not find additional ore, but the geology published to date by HGM/LSG suggests any gold on the Sydney property is not likely to be an extension of the LSG orebody.
