CYBERSURF CORP. ANNOUNCES REBRANDING STRATEGY FOR 3WEB SERVICES
Calgary, Alberta CANADA, September 30, 2005 /FSC/ - Cybersurf Corp. (CY - TSX Venture), one of Canada's leading Internet technology and service companies, today announced that it will consolidate its existing and expanding service offerings currently provided under the 3web brand of its subsidiary 3web Corp., under the one cohesive Cybersurf corporate banner and brand identity.
Concurrent with Cybersurf's rebranding initiative, the Company plans to use its cia.com domain to generate mass brand awareness within the shortest possible time frame. The Company has owned and used the cia.com domain since 1994, and has enjoyed high volume traffic to the Cybersurf corporate website through this domain. The Company plans to leverage the already significant traffic to the cia.com domain to promote its current and new services, including new IP-based services. Cybersurf's shareholders are invited to look at the new brand and logo at https://www.cia.com.
The Company will retain all of its other existing brands (owned by it directly or through its other subsidiaries), including Cyberus/Comnet, STN (Surf the Net), IGS (Internet Gateway Services) and other brands purchased or owned to date, and will allow current 3web customers to maintain existing 3web email addresses while also providing them new email addresses with the @cia.com domain.
More than twenty five percent (25%) of its common shares are currently beneficially owned by directors, officers, employees and related parties of the Corporation. To the best of Cybersurf's knowledge and belief, there are no agreements or arrangements among any of these parties with respect to the voting of those shares.
