RE: Action Direct/RBC AccountsSame things happens with E*Trade, only they sent me an email and called me well in advance of freezing my account to tell me they needed to verify my ID. I believe this is either a result of new 'anti-money laundering' laws or new brokerage policies to help curb money laundering and terrorism financing.
