Star Diamond Corporation is a Canada-based company engaged in the acquisition, exploration and development of mineral properties. These Fort a la Corne mineral dispositions are located in the Fort a la Corne Provincial Forest, approximately 60 kilometers (km) east of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. It also holds a 100% interest in the Buffalo Hills Diamond Project, located approximately 400 kilometers northwest of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The property covers a total of 21 mineral leases covering an area of approximately 4,800 hectares (ha).

It was when George Read compared in-ground value of the Star as being equal to or greater than Diavik's in-ground value that I realized the Star was in the same league as the big two (Ekati/Diavik). Wasn't Ekati's expenses retrieved in only 1 year of operation, and not 3? Can't remember, but I do remember it was incredible. "the decline in diamond production in September 2005 is due to the processing of lower grade ore at Ekati Diamond Mine" - I wonder what the lower grades are due to: mining satellite pipes that had lower grades? Or different zones within the original rich pipe.
