Maybe somebody knows something about those early results.
GMSR Alert #355 - November 25, 2005
Bravo Ventures Group (BVG.TSXV/$0.52) - On Monday of this week Bravo announced that Placer Dome has started drilling at the partners' South Lone Mountain project, currently permitted for 32 drill sites. Two drill rigs will test deeper targets on the bedrock shelf where gold was previously identified, and a shallow-capacity drill rig will test near-surface targets. Thirty-two drill targets and three drills is an unusually aggressive approach to take on a project's first drill program, but these days Placer will take good news wherever it might get it. Although the presence of a major is usually a sign that news will come at the pace the major wishes to supply it-translation: slowly-in this instance, I think Placer and Bravo are likely to have an open door policy on news. My expectation is that the first drill results will come at a pace that's likely to shock investors accustomed to interminable waits for news. If there is any good news lurking in the first hole that's been drilled, we could even see something as early as next week (the first hole is in the lab). I still don't think another bidder is coming to the Placer party, but if Placer and Bravo were able to report a new discovery in the Cortez Trend, that couldn't do anything but help their cause.
