Oncolytics Biotech Inc T.ONC

Alternate Symbol(s):  ONCY

Oncolytics Biotech Inc. is a clinical-stage biotechnology company. The Company is focused on developing pelareorep, an intravenously delivered immunotherapeutic agent that activates the innate and adaptive immune systems and weakens tumor defense mechanisms. This compound induces anti-cancer immune responses and promotes an inflamed tumor phenotype turning cold tumors hot through innate and adaptive immune responses to treat a variety of cancers. This improves the ability of the immune system to fight cancer, making tumors more susceptible to a broad range of oncology treatments. The Company’s primary focus is to advance its programs in hormone receptor-positive / human epidermal growth factor 2- negative (HR+/HER2-) metastatic breast cancer and advanced/metastatic pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma to registration-enabling clinical studies. In addition, it is exploring opportunities for registrational programs in other gastrointestinal cancers through its GOBLET platform study.

RE: Why the decline in Share Price?

RE: Why the decline in Share Price?i think your analysis has left out a couple of important points. first, i think it is pretty clear, given thompson's stated intention to start an additional 4 to 6 phase II trials, that they don't have enough cash to support them, without making themselves even more vulnerable than they already are to vulture hedge funds. more definitive trial results from marsden & st. george will need to be forthcoming to support a higher valuation and those may take a while, considering they have only treated 19 patients in 19 months. imo, onc needs some phase II results to truly attract any meaningful long term institutional interest, and after 6 years of trying, their record is one of miserable failure. i agree that this stock has been manipulated, but not just during this recent build-up to the poster session news. the history has been of management & MB pump, financing, dump, with the "little people" left holding the bag. fwiw, i am amazed that shareholders who have been around long enough to know that history still completely discount it and instead seek to justify the precipitous drops in price to buyers looking buy in cheap, instead of pumpers dumping to newcomers. jmo
