If this is accurate, it would certainly suggest that "on schedule" was referring to a schedule other than the "within 6 weeks" that was originally published.
YES
A couple of questions;
1. are you sure that you are dealing with the appropriate governmental submission group for the type of permit the company would be applying for at this time?
Yes … they Know all about the previous submission and retraction of application
2. if we are indeed looking to try to keep this all as hush-hush as possible, as has been suggested, is there the possibility that the submission is not being done under MIX's name?
Yes .. however the property/ land does not move …
3. the suggestion has been made on more than 1 occasion that to leak information of that nature could cause problems if anyone was to be caught doing it; are you sure you weren't simply being told "no" to get you to go away and to not jeopardize their jobs?
Absolutely Not … To not disclose a public application would be a surefire way to get IN trouble.
The one making such a suggestion was just covering for MIX and their NOT wanting anyone doing their own personal enquires or checks on things & MIX's progress. The people I talked with are more than willing to answer questions and are very helpful. They are just doing their job and have been most accommodating.
These are not meant as criticisms, just as double-checks on how sure we are that the information is correct.
No problem
Here is the Govmt. Site that they undate every two weeks or sooner
https://www3.gov.ab.ca/env/protenf/assessment/index.html
Go to Summary :
https://www3.gov.ab.ca/env/protenf/assessment/summary.html
-Notice Birch Mountain Limestone Quarry and Dodds Coal Mine
Also Whats New may be useful
https://www3.gov.ab.ca/env/protenf/assessment/whatsnew.html
This site is where the application ( Micrex,Apex,Lornell ) will be published once it hits the Enviromental Dept.
Now if MIX's news release on the Enviromental study is not a required process then someone somewhere is blowing smoke as the above site is the Alberta Govmt. site handling and posting such matters.
