Have you slipped your trolley Rio

Have you slipped your trolley RioTransportation costs are not high for finished metal products Rio. What sort of craziness would make you say something like that. You give us a statement that Johnson Matthey’s gold and silver refineries are in better location for the PM business. Salt Lake City (USA), Brampton (Canada), Royston (UK), Melbourne (Australia) and Hong Kong are the refineries that JM operates. Care to tell us what close gold mines exist in England and Hong Kong? As for EC, the primary PM refining is now in London and in Germany. On the other hand, the Big Creek is actually closer to real live silver mines than any of the big twos plants. The reason that shipping is not a problem for Engelhard of Johnson Matthey is that a ton of gold is worth over 15 million dollars and a ton of silver is worth over a quarter million dollars. You can rail a ton of material across the whole USA for about a hundred bucks. Even trucking is not all that expensive compared to the product that is being shipped. You are not talking industrial minerals, yet we ship clay, quartz and other IMs across the USA all the time with bulk values in the 80-100 buck range. I have mentioned before that EC is not suggesting over capacity in its very public information either in its annuals or its quarterlies. Please cite a reputable source for your claim of over capacity in refining of Precious Metals.
