Being the first to do something, in any industry, is a hugestep forward. When it comes to the oil and gas industry, it can behugely important to a company’s future. In this case, American PetroHunter (AAPH) has made an important move by being the first energycompany to begin horizontal drilling at the North Oklahoma Project whichis focused on the Mississippi Formation. Quality Stocks sums it all up for us.
…This will be the first of an entire series of plannedhorizontal wells targeting the massive Mississippi Formation, theroughly 100-foot thick pay zone that has tipped off a major upswing indrilling and exploration in Oklahoma. Indeed, major operators likeSandridge and Calyx have planned, implemented and/or executed hundredsof wells in recent months in the area.
The NOM1H is on schedule for being spud tomorrow and the Companyanticipates that the engineered total depth will be achieved within amatter of weeks. Given the extremely good success of analog wells fromthe area, AAPH management is projecting strong results from NOM1H andanticipates that it will become a solid producer in thismuch-sought-after play.
My advice? Watch this stock! This Mississippi play is goingto hugely impact the future of AAPH, not to mention their stock. Checkout their company profile to learn more about AAPH. Lastly, we called AAPH at the beginning of the year as being a wildcat stock to watch, and I think that this one is proven us right.
