Can someone here explain how a bid can be 'bogus'?? You have to have money in an account to be able to place a bid. Same as you have to own shares to be able to place a sell order. People remove and place buy and sell orders all the time for different reasons. It doesn't mean they are not real.

No, but it can mean they are placed in a strategic manner. There where 2 periods today where over 500k bids where placed at 0.09 and 0.095, creating a floor price. People seeing these bids tell themselves that they need to buy over that bid in order for their order to be filled. Who was doing the selling during those periods? Cibc... who placed those bids? Cibc... i could be mistaken, but to me ...more

Manipulation or smart?  If he can get the fill at 9.5c and resell them at .10c what is the problem?

I agree with largeinvest. And anytime you are placing bids at the first bid level, you are risking being filled no matter how big the bids are so those bids are very real. You could argue that bids sitting at 5 cents are bogus cause they have no hope of being filled. But the way I see it, if you place a bid it is real. Dont get me wrong, i agree with both of you. just doing so kinda makes the stock price at a standstill. Hey, if i had enough shares id do the same
