Bumpy Ride
The fact they could place a $25 offering gives some credence to the bloated market cap and expectations.
People with lots of knowledge and experience in this space might reflect that as the business rationalizes and consolidates, at the same time the US brokerages and market press may start to play the sector as a hot thing to a much bigger audience looking to buy in - in which case with the big names, a well-funded treasury, a credible business plan that is focussed on compliance ... Acreage might just become a runner. Forget the diplomatic corps of Mulroney and Boehner although they no doubt can help both with business and government ... they have some savvy businesspeople on board as well, that is more important in executing a rapid growth strategy.
In the meantime, pretty clear with less than a week of trading there is quite a bit of settling out of paper to be done. With intra-day swings of near 25% ... the cautious are going to stay away until the stock price start soon to find a more steady trend?
The Canadians may have a head start but “all American” sells well south of 49. And Florida, California, New York ... when those markets are all in ... big money.
Way to early to predict but a definite candidate to grab a lot of business market share and stock market affection.
