The real deal

Let’s stop with all the confusion, it’s simple , 2.55 usd per share now ,,,   And .58 of a weed share at the time of federal legalization. Buy the time marijuana is federally legal a weed share could be worth 100$ so a little over 58$per acreage share plus 2.55$ that’s 60.55 per acreage share . Or for those who believe weed shares are overpriced,, Maybe all this Cannabis bubble will pop and a weed share will be worth 10$, in that case we will get 5.80 $ a share plus 2.55$ For a total of 8.35 .............good deal or bad deal who knows

Correct Bateman. A play in ACRG was always a play on two things:  1.  The ability of ACRG to roll-in licences and premises in multi states to grow their business.  2.  Federal legalization. ACGR has just substantially strengthened their hand at expansion and roll-in of new states and distribution, because they can still issue 58 million shares - that is a $1.4 billion war ...more

Good explanation, you just hit the nail on the head , let’s hope all the investors in acreage holdings understand the real deal and just how GOOD it could be for us , I am no fortune teller , but I can say I’m loading up in acreage shares from now on .

Thanks very much for the detailed post. This deal was an asolute gamechanger in my view.  Acerage partners immediately with Canopy and gets access to all their know how and access to raise cash right now to fund immediate expansion.  They just got a big shot of adrenaline and using their political and financial influence to continue and make moves pushing them ahead of competition ...more

The way I’m reading it the price is set and does not float with canopies share price. If canopy is 100 dollars when this deal closes It doesn’t matter it’s based off Canopies 30 day ma as of April 16th.So the most you can get is 27 and change even if the deal closes 3 years from now.So if you buy at 22 your making almost 6 per share the key is how long does the USA take to legalize.

Ya I don’t know what to make of it ,,, I read this deal like you just said , but I also read , that the .58 shares of weed per acreage share , will be issued at the time of legalization? Hard to follow,,, what if a share of acreage is worth the same as a weed share by then ?

Care to explain a bit more countrygent99? The other way of reading the deal is a bit confusing when they mention the 30 day average and the set price of 3.4billions ?
Comment by Countrygent on Apr 20, 2019 6:41pm
The deal has to be approved by 2/3 of the shareholders of each class of ACRG pursuant to the Arrangement transaction under BC company law - a more flexible form of amalgamation.  It requires a Court determination it is “fair”.  Accordingly, the transaction has to be valued and a fairness opinion delivered by an “expert” (ie.  a flak brokerage or investment banker),  as well as ...more
