I found this Richmond Club index in which Acadian once was included as top performer ;-)

Oh the times of past and how they've changed.

Guess we keep on waiting for this shareholder value to be created? Who here thinks a restart of the mine will take place in the first or second quarter of next year?

I mean, gold probably is their main focus now but there will come a time or moment when a re-opening would be economically viable. I say this because in order for them to re-open the mine they will probably have to raise funds.

But when the revenues of mining outweigh those costs then we are looking at a possible re-opening.

Thanks for this, Nugget.  I wonder if thought has been given to spinning off the gold properties, as proposed a couple years ago just before the markets collapsed. The only realistic hope for long-term financial success is to develop these properties. A fresh start, with the sole focus on gold,  might inject new life into this moribund enterprise. Fold the current meandering ...more

Not too strange a thought methinks. Mining lead/zinc or gold....hm? Lead/zinc producer or gold producer? Hm? And a stock split 1:10, reducing outstanding shares...well...a reverse split should only be a last resort is my opinion though I have to acknowledge the status quo at the moment. Not pretty indeed.. So yeah, developing those gold projects quick smart would seem to be the most encouraging ...more
