Worth 1 billion or just 50 millions?

I have a question to all of you, AXI followers. How does it come that a company that released a PFS for a project worth 1 billion is only trading for a global market price of 50 millions? How does it come that when AXI released that PFS, in the mid of 2009, the stock went up a little bit to just over 25 cents a piece, no more? That doesn't make sense to me. Can anyone explain why the share is stubbornly staying so low ?? What is the pending doom with that company ???

FJG, you present some good and fair questions.....   "How does it come that a company that released a PFS for a project worth 1 billion is only trading for a global market price of 50 millions?"   Not that it is a huge difference, but AXI performed a Preliminary Economic Study [PEA] and not a Pre-Feasibility Study [PFS] back in 2009......and yes, it did reflect a NPV of $1.1 ...more

I offer it to you with no opinion or slant, for it is pretty clear on it's own......   In January of 2007, AEI first entered into ...more

MurrayMac, I thank you kindly for your two very knowledgeable answers to my questions. I understand much more now why the company is so devaluated. Nevertheless I am not sure that there are many 1billion PEA out there selling for 1/20 of their NPV, especially only a couple of months before the release of the FS. I was more on the impression that the companies I have ...more

Hello again FJG,   "Nevertheless I am not sure that there are many 1billion PEA out there selling for 1/20 of their NPV"   Well, how about a junior iron ore player that has a NPV of $15.2 billion, but with a market cap of only $200 million. What is that.....1/76th? And you just alluded to this junior......it's ADI. Or how about BKI with a NPV of $3 billion and a ...more

Murray, it helps certainly, and I thank you handsomely for sharing these words. As I can tell I am not that much acquainted with mining development more than the basic stuff. I have more questions, but I will ask them to the whole forum, hoping to get your answer there. Again, thank you.
