The Padcom pony.....

is alive and kickin....according to a CBC article put out a couple days ago. They have been producing since early July. Not sure if this is full commercial production....they want to get to 100k first phase.....250k next phase... so while some doubt the tech it appears that the code is cracked for all to c. Meanwhile that dead pony in the middle of the road is starting to stink and is attracting the crows....need a clean up on this one....maybe send it to the glue factory....congrats Padcom....

Hi habs. I think that Padcom is just circulating brine.  I'm guessing that circulation will fess up the feasibility of  carrying on further with the project. If they have advanced on beyond circulation, I'm not aware of it.

Olsalt, Do you think they need to develop more Caverns? I have been wondering how they can produce 100k tons of potash with a single Cavern.  Western Potash developed three Caverns and announced they need to drill a 4th Cavern to produce 150k tons. I noticed that PADCOM has posted a Process Supervisor position for hire.

Hi Wiser. My view is that a single cavern could produce, maybe even 500,000 tonnes or more. The key is in the design of the cavern and the "chemistry" of the brine. Padcom seems to be distracted, at the moment with a lot of other things, ego things. All the numbers in the recent CBC article are crazy. They need direction as there are some critical things that need to be done right. Maybe ...more

LOL habsguy, hopefully you are better at math than you appear to be with science. Across the Manitoba-Saskatchewan border, the Nutrien potash mine near Rocanville, Sask., produces five to seven million tonnes per year, he said. "In 36 hours, they produce more than we do in a year," https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/manitoba/manitoba-1st-potash-mine-look-inside-1.7271332 I am ...more
