Top Pick

2012-09-11 TOP PICK Joanne A. Hruska, CFA
Smaller cap name but have really grown a lot through the drill bit with over 15,000 barrels a day of production. Strong management. Both 50% liquids and 50% gas so they still have a bit of a sour taste in the market but they are really moving towards more liquids.

2012-09-19 BUY Eric Nuttall Liquids rich gas play. Was challenged earlier this year because  a lot of their liquids are not oil. Had some good results from their key Cardium play. Still pretty cheap at 4.2-4.3 times cash flow on a 2013 basis. Expects that $4 is fair value.

exactly...

I did something I very rarely do today and doubled down on April calls. My 4 dollar calls are coffee change now but I bought the 2.50's because they were the lowest strike available. Bit risky but high reward potential if managment sees this as a wake up call. I would imagine they are fielding calls from large shareholders now wondering what they are going to do to rectify this situation.

I'm not sure what the "situation" is... Looks fine to me.
Comment by Tikinagan on Jan 10, 2013 1:26pm
The situation is that management gave poor guidance in November. Production came in welll under expectations. This shakes confidence and raises quesions, which is what we have seen in the sp today.

Don't confuse me with the facts.

Haha; I actually think in the big picture that you are right. I think this is a good company that is doing well. I am long in options and shares. I am not in the least worried about my shares; it's the ticking clock on my options... But that's the risk of buying calls. Caveat Emptor :-)

Ya it's all good, but I kind of think allot of these energy plays are dead money for awhile. The only way to win is buy when beaten up more than deserved.

dickfetish/oiltrader, you're batting 0.  your wee prediction is wrong.  still trying to score cheap shares?  Peace.https://www.stockhouse.com/bullboards/messagedetail.aspx?s=WEE&t=LIST&m=31983675&l=0&pd=0&r=0
